Daniel Jaro

Research Coordinator

Daniel Jaro is a research program coordinator studying the neurological, cognitive, and therapeutic effects of psilocybin under the supervision of Dr. Fred Barrett. The studies he is involved in include investigating the therapeutic use of psilocybin in Major Depressive Disorder with co-occurring Alcohol Use Disorder as well as using neuroimaging techniques such as EEG to probe the neural correlates of psychedelics, including their acute impact on cognition and perception. Before this position he helped to conduct Behavioral Economics research at University of Pennsylvania’s Behavior Change for Good Initiative. During his undergraduate degree at University of Southern California, he was a Research Assistant for the Habit Lab and for a Quantitative Psychology research lab.
