Carina Beritela
Student Intern
Carina is an undergraduate student at Johns Hopkins University double majoring in Neuroscience and French. She is currently interning in Dr. Yaden's lab, contributing to research on the effects of psilocybin on OCD, depression, and lower back pain. Carina is interested in the biological and molecular basis of psychiatric disorders and how psychedelics could serve as a form of medical intervention. She is particularly curious about the potential long-term effects of psilocybin on mood and behavior. In addition, Carina is a Resident Advisor and a member of the JHU Women's Track and Field team.
