Seeking Volunteers for a Psilocybin Study

Researchers at Johns Hopkins University are seeking individuals to participate in a research study looking at the effects of psilocybin, a naturally occurring compound contained in hundreds of species of psychoactive mushrooms, on electrical activity in the brain (measured with electroencephalography, or EEG) and the body.

Volunteers must:

  • Be between the ages of 18 and 75

  • Live within the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area

  • Be medically and psychiatrically healthy

  • Be willing and able to travel to the Johns Hospital Campus for multiple study visits.

Confidentiality will be maintained for all applicants and participants.
