Cody Emerson

Student Intern

Cody is an undergraduate student majoring in Medicine, Science, and the Humanities at Johns Hopkins University. Working with the co-occurring depression and alcohol use disorder study, Cody has always been interested in how research can change social norms, how social norms can influence research, and how they both work to affect individuals in our society. For this reason, Cody believes that psilocybin could be extremely important not only for the future of mental healthcare, but also for the fight against the stigma surrounding it. In the future, Cody hopes to apply his experiences and knowledge in psychology as an OB/GYN that specializes in postpartum depression and maternal mental health.
