Maverick Espinosa

Maverick is an undergraduate student at Johns Hopkins University studying Computer Science with a focus in data science and its application to neuroscience and chemistry. At the CPCR, Maverick assists with processing, managing, and analyzing data across clinical trials. He is also interested in exploring the chemical and biological mechanisms behind the cognitive impacts of psychedelics. Outside of the CPCR, Maverick has gained experience with wet lab research, synthesizing chemical compounds as well as conducting research in schizophrenia and anxiety. Maverick is fascinated by the potential for psychedelics to promote overall well-being and health. In the future, he hopes to pursue a master’s in computer science. In his free time, he enjoys music production and biking around Baltimore with friends.
