Andrew Gaddis, MD, MHS

Andrew Gaddis completed his M.D. at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, and his psychiatry residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He’s primarily focused on investigating non-traditional approaches to addressing the impacts of substance use disorders, with a focus on the potential role of psychedelics in addressing the complex array of substance-related disorders and harms. His research interests include but are not limited to evaluation and response to the opioid epidemic, overdose prevention, and other related indicators of community health more broadly. Dr. Gaddis also works as a psychiatrist at Addiction Treatment Services (ATS) at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
