Shruti Tyagi

Shruti is an undergraduate student majoring in Public Health Studies at Johns Hopkins University. At the Center, Shruti assists with a study that examines the effects of psychedelics in humans and the use of psilocybin in health care. Shruti is interested in learning more about the potential benefits and risks of psilocybin in medicine and exploring how psychedelics can be applied to clinical treatments and therapies. Shruti is particularly interested in the potential role of psilocybin in mental health treatments for conditions such as Alzheimer's disease. In the future, Shruti hopes to utilize her experiences at CPCR as a clinical psychiatrist and perform psychiatric field work overseas.
