Melodi Wilkie, LCPC

Psychiatric Therapist

Melodi Wilkie is a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of Maryland. She received her bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and her master’s degree from Towson University. After her graduate studies, she worked in outpatient community mental health for over a decade. She enjoyed her work as a program coordinator, overseeing a team of therapists and interns who delivered mental health services to adult clients. Melodi left community mental health in 2021 to pursue her private practice. She founded an online therapy business that provides individual therapy services to adults throughout the state of Maryland. In her private practice, Melodi sees clients who have experienced childhood emotional neglect, profound relational misattunements, complex/developmental trauma, strained family relationships, grief, anxiety and depression, and difficulty in interpersonal relationships. She is trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and loves incorporating parts work into her therapy sessions. Building community among therapists is important to Melodi, and she created a peer-consultation group for therapists in private practice. She also hosts workshops to help therapists learn the IFS model and apply it to their work with clients. Melodi has been intrigued by the therapeutic use of psychedelics for years and recently pursued an intensive ten-month training in psychedelic-assisted therapy. She is excited to join the team as a psychiatric therapist at the CPCR. Her areas of interest in psychedelic research include end-of-life distress, grief, spirituality, and transpersonal/mystical experiences.
