Nathan Heller, PhD

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Nate completed his PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at Dartmouth College, where he used visual psychophysics and EEG to investigate the behavioral and neural correlates of visual hallucinations. As a post-doctoral research fellow at the CPCR working with Dr. Frederick Barrett, Nate aims to identify biomarkers that can track the acute subjective effects of psychedelics, as well as to develop EEG measures that can index the metaplastic effects of these compounds. He is particularly interested in adapting measures that have proved effective in preclinical models for use in human electrophysiology.
