Before joining the CPCR, Kelcy conducted stem cell research at the Wilmer Eye Institute and National Eye Institute and researched pathways of neurodegeneration and the impacts of genetic risk factors. Kelcy earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a double minor in Art and English from Texas A&M University. In the future, she plans to join a Clinical Psychology program and explore translational research with the aim of better understanding psychedelics as a tool in therapy.
