We are seeking military veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to participate in a research study looking at the effects of psilocybin and MDMA, two substances often called "psychedelics". Separately, both substances have shown preliminary evidence for efficacy in the treatment of PTSD. Our study will observe whether administration of both substances, combined with psychological support, improves PTSD symptoms and quality of life.
Study Details
Participants must complete screening procedures, including surveys, psychological assessments, and physicals.
Participants may be compensated for study participation.
Participants will receive two dose of psilocybin and MDMA under supervision.
Participants will receive regular psychological support for about three months, plus follow-up visits at the 1, 2, 3, and 6-month timepoints.
Study Requirements:
Participants must be military veterans (discharge status is not considered).
Participants must be between 21 and 75 years of age.
Participants must have PTSD. Formal diagnoses are not required.
