Julianna is a research program coordinator on Dr. Sandeep Nayak’s team investigating the therapeutic effects of psilocybin in opioid use disorder. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins, where she studied molecular and cellular biology and psychology.
Previously, Julianna worked under the guidance of Dr. Gül Dölen, researching how psychedelics can reopen critical periods in brain development, with a specific focus on the role of the extracellular matrix in this process.
Julianna is eager to merge her research interests with clinical practice by pursing a medical degree. In doing so, she hopes to explore new therapeutic avenues for various neurological and psychological conditions.
